Golf Day
A Gift To Lift Golf Competition IV
Hinckley Golf Club
Sunday 15th of May 2016

Hinckley Golf Club hosted the 4th AGTL golf competition on what turned out to be a day filled with eager competitors and beautiful weather. After deliberation on where to stage the competition it was decided upon the local course due to its firm reputation of immaculate yet testing holes and the facilities which offered a breakfast of bacon rolls and coffee, and then a post competition Sunday roast from the highly regarded restaurant. The now standard Stableford format for AGTL offers the chance for competitors of all abilities to come together and have a chance at lifting the trophy. With two spaces in The Sainsbury’s Golf Competition at The Warwickshire Golf Course being awarded to first and second place the chance to represent AGTL was a catalyst for what ended as a very tight finish.

It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves as they completed their round and as the last four ball walked off the 18th hole the masses were sat in the sunshine on the veranda enjoying a few well deserved drinks, with some of the 44 golfers bringing along family and friends to enjoy the dinner and social gathering, the clubhouse was buzzing with AGTL supporters. The presentation was delivered after dinner where we had the following recipients of the trophies. (Equal scores were separated by performance on the back 9)
